Counting for two

Got a new year coming up... the 28th, this Saturday, will begin my 37th year of life. Wild. Working on some resolutions, don't have any plans yet, just know I want some good food, some dark chocolate, and some quiet time to reflect. Ahhh.... sounds perfect. I don't remember much of my 36th birthday, so this one will have to count for two.

No way! Ample- my birthday is Saturday too! I'll be (groan) fifty-three, though. Oh, I remember thirty-seven. You know what? My forties were my best decade of all. My fifties have been (so far) a bit of a drag in some ways. Aging is...
Well, that's for a blog all on its own.
But is this weird or what? July 28. I will be thinking of you when I celebrate.

Oh- and I bought dark chocolate today. I eat a little almost every day.
Speaking of quiet time alone to reflect- last year I spent my birthday and the whole next week all by myself down in the little town I wrote about on the river. It was the absolute best and most wonderful. I am already grieving because this year, I won't be there.

Maybe you should go away for a solo weekend somewhere inspiring. I picture you on a rock (that I would be too lazy to climb) overlooking some gorgeous scene.....

Ms Moon -NO WAY!!!!! Wow. How incredible.... the same b-day, dark chocolate, mangoes for dessert, vacationing alone.... are we sisters? :)

QG - I'd drag you up the rock and you'd love it there, my cus :) Yeah... a solo trip would be nice, maybe soon.

Well, my old drunk daddy was a rake. One never knows...
We must be sisters of some sort, it would seem.
Happy birthday!

And Happy Birthday to both of you from this other Leo...but my b-day is Aug. 3. I've always liked being a "dog days of summer" birthday girl. Yea for Leos. :)

Birthday resolutions? That's new - dark chocolate, definitely. I resolve to eat dark chocolate on your birthday! Have a good one! You're going into the prime of your life!
