This weekend
The cutting of my finger, the stepping on glass, and an uncertain interpretation of a seemingly judgmental comment from a new acquaintance, all reminded me of Hep C. As did my quiet enjoyment of salty sand, long looks across the horizon, playful decisions for fruity drinks, and the savorings of a delicious book (for hours). Each swing so quickly brings back the ring of Hep C. The silent tone I knew nothing of 2 years ago. So crazy.

Does it almost feel personified. Like somebody you shared a year with? (just curious)
:)
Just like your Hep C eyes Ample...'it' will never ever truly leave your side.
It is crazy...but i think a good thing too. We need to remember these life changing things that are thrown at us...for they make us the people we are today...and tomorrow and the next.........

It will always be there in the background, It's become a part of who we are. Now I know why so many 'cancer survivors' still define themselves as cancer survivors, so many years later.
With luck, we'll all be HCV survivors.
As years pass it will fade, some will stay, but not as sharp as now. It has to fade..... Only good shall stay.
P.S. What book?
QG - more like an "unveiling" of myself. layers stripped away.
Jaex - I think you're right. And by minimizing the bad, the good is also diminished. I'll happily remember both in full form!
UC - and once a marathoner always a marathoner. Makes perfect sense to me now. Here's to surviving HCV!
Yes, what's the book?
Memories of my Melancholy Whores, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez... so good
Teastar - I really hope it all stays (easier to say on the outside, than while you're on the in!!! You hang in there.)
The book? It's gotta be a Rob Grant or Douglas Adams book right Ample?
Can't think of anything more delicious;)
Jaex
Now that is freaky!!!! I post about the book at exactly the same time as you Ample!
I'm only glad it wasn't a RG or DG book or I may have gone totally bananas and leapt off Beachy Head or summin;)
Freaky Jaexx
Hey Jae! It's almost like a chat room! Crazy :)
excuse me, I want to chat too. I love My Melancholy Whores. I think I'll go pull it off the shelf right now and have another look...
Great to see you last week!
It was great seeing you as well! (as always!) The book (so good so good) started and finished in one afternoon/evening. One of his best. Interesting new way to print dialog. Liked it.
